• Jazz band meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:00am, starting Monday, September 22nd. 
• Jazz band students MUST pay the Athey Creek activity fee in order to participate.  This fee covers sports participation as well.
• Students playing trumpet, trombone, or saxophone MUST be enrolled in the 6th, 7th, or 8th Grade band class during the day. 
• Students in the rhythm section must be able to read music and must have a separate "audition" at the beginning of the year.  Band class participation is not required but highly recommended. 
• We will be using Essential Elements 2000 Jazz ensemble method this year.
